The work begins with a whale whose frequency cannot be heard by others of its kind. This distance becomes a way of thinking about separation, communication, and existence.
On the tidal surface of the coast, movement appears and disappears with the water. The body leaves traces that are quickly erased, and nothing remains in a fixed form. What is visible is always temporary, shaped by tide, wind, and time.
Between presence and disappearance, a quiet distance remains unresolved.
Intw Studio
InTW Studio was founded in New York in 2013 by twin sisters Hsieh Hsiao-Wei and Hsieh Hsiao-Ting, and later registered in Taiwan. Both were originally trained in medicine before turning to contemporary dance. Their work has been presented internationally and often focuses on the relationship between body and environment.
Since returning to Taiwan, they have developed site-based and immersive works across different landscapes. Their practice also extends into dance film and virtual reality, exploring how movement can shift between physical and digital space.
