Möbius Strip Theatre
A disused railway line becomes the starting point. The audience leaves the station and follows a path where movement replaces narrative direction. Along the way, sound, voice, and physical action unfold in shifting combinations.
What appears is less a story than a passage through perception. The train line becomes a temporary structure for memory, where movement and recollection overlap. Walking becomes a way of entering and exiting different states of time.
Möbius Strip Theatre
Möbius Strip Theatre was founded in 2005 and is led by Artistic Director Cheng Po-Jen. The company takes its name from the Möbius strip, a form without beginning or end, as a way of thinking about creative access as something open to everyone. Working across percussion and theatre, the ensemble develops performances through collective practice and long-term collaboration.
Two main approaches guide its work. One is collaborative creation with communities, where field research becomes a way of shaping local stories together with non-professional participants. The other is inclusive theatre, which brings Deaf and hearing performers into shared creative processes and incorporates visual interpretation into performance.
